Job Summary
As a mechanic you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, documenting, assembling, various types of mining process equipment & walking dragline equipment & any other job duties assigned.
Essential Job Duties
- Disassembles and inspects equipment to determine repair requirements. Includes gear assemblies, pinion shaft assemblies, trunnion rollers, thrust rollers, various walking dragline components, sheaves, fairleads, gear cases, dragline transmissions, planetaries gear cases, lump breakers & crushers, hammer mills, head shaft & tail shaft pulleys & more
- Fills out inspection and other various reports
- Using various pneumatic tools, hand tools, acetylene torch, welder, drill press and hand grinders required to disassemble and assemble various types of equipment
- Ability to read micrometers and measuring equipment
- Ensures that required equipment and tools are functioning properly
- Performs routine maintenance on machinery and test equipment
- Performs housekeeping tasks as required
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Work independently to a set of procedures with stop checks for Supervisor and QC Sign Offs
- Must have own basic hand tools
- Must adhere and follow company Safety rules
- Ability to drive forklifts, man lifts and operate overhead cranes in a safe manner
- Training is available
Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
- 2+ Years in Industrial Equipment / Mining Equipment Repair
- Knowledge of Industrial Application and Practices
- Knowledge of Bearing Types and Fitting and Setting Practices training available
- Employee must be dependable and capable of working long hours

Job Summary
As a Manual and C&C Machinist you will be responsible for Machining parts of various sizes using lathes, horizontal & vertical boring mills, knee-mills, grinders, saws etc. Position is located in a fast-paced industrial setting and often requires long hours & frequent call-outs.
Essential Duties
- Perform turning, threading, boring and facing operations in various size lathes
- Perform drilling, tapping, boring and facing operations in a large horizontal boring mill
- Perform turning, boring, and facing operations in a large vertical boring mill
- Operate miscellaneous machines including saws, grinders, shapers, key-seaters, radial arm drills and threading machines
- Use manual micrometers, calipers and gauges to measure dimensions as small as .0001’’
- Follow and help improve shop safety rules
- Routinely rig and handle parts weighing up to 40,000 lbs
- Routinely transport parts utilizing forklifts, overhead cranes, jib cranes etc
- Interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches
- Recognize and properly utilize inserts, fixtures and various tooling
- Properly sign-out and account for tooling and consumables
- Obtain QC approval at noted hold points
- Provide feedback to estimators regarding quotes, budgets etc
- Assist with shop improvement activities
- Needs to be Proficient with the C&C Machine within 1 year of Hire
- Other duties as required

Skills & Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have a minimum 2 years verifiable work experience as a Millwright
- Employee must be capable of performing skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day
- Knowledge of grain and aggregate industries preferred
- Must be dependable and operate with a high-level of integrity
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment
